DHL Supply Chain recently leased an additional 5,900 square meters at the Prologis logistics park in Torslanda, Gothenburg, Sweden. The agreement, which began December 1, 2021, includes the entire logistics space at the DC2 property. DHL is now leasing two complete facilities at the park, a total of 36,000 square meters.

As one of Prologis’ biggest customers, DHL Supply Chain is expanding in the Gothenburg area. The world-leading provider of contract logistics has been a tenant at the Prologis logistics park in Torslanda since 2005, where it occupied the entire DC4 facility and part of DC2. Under the new agreement, DHL Supply Chain will now lease the entire property, adding 5,900 square meters of space to its operations.

“Our units in Torslanda are strategically located close to the Port of Gothenburg, Landvetter Airport, and the E6 and E20 highways. We are proud to continue to grow our cooperation with DHL, one of our most important customers, in this important region,” says Gunnar Gillholm, VP country manager, Prologis Nordics.

Consolidation in an important location

A number of changes will be made to integrate the newly leased space with the rest of the property and adapt the facility to DHL’s specific needs. For example, two doors will be installed, and an existing partition wall will be dismantled. LED lighting will also be added throughout the property.

“This expansion will allow us to consolidate multiple assignments into one building with our existing client and expand our operations in a strategically important location. Prologis has been responsive to our wishes and our good cooperation means we can now both expand in Torslanda and have the property adapted to our particular needs,” says Lars Jarlros, business development manager at DHL.
