Gothenburg – November 29, 2018 – Prologis, the global leader in logistics real estate, announced today that they have signed a lease with Jollyroom AB for close to 19,500 sqm in the Gothenburg Park II, DC2 and DC3, in Torslanda, Gothenburg.

Jollyroom AB has leased two modern facilities in the new Gothenburg Park II logistics park, with a total area of close to 19,500 square meters. The logistics facility offers excellent infrastructure and access to the E6 and E20 motorways, the Port of Gothenburg, major rail terminals and Göteborg Landvetter Airport. Its proximity to major industrial clusters makes the park an excellent location.

“With this agreement the whole logistics park has been leased ahead of schedule, which confirms the quality of our park and the solid demand,” says Johan Nihlmark, Director and Market Officer at Prologis Nordics.

E-commerce driving demand

Jollyroom is one of the Nordic region's largest and fastest growing e-commerce companies with over two million registered customers and a turnover of more than 1 billion SEK. The company was established in 2010 and focuses on children's and baby products. The company has locations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Germany.

“We have continued to maintain profitable growth of over 50 percent”, says Ole Sauar, CEO and majority shareholder of Jollyroom.

“We continuously invest in new premises and systems to handle larger volumes and the logistical challenges that such strong growth entails. In 2018, alone, we have increased our total storage area from 35,000 sqm to 85,000 sqm. Prologis has been a very good partner on the property side and we see great opportunities for future collaboration in connection with Jollyroom's continued expansion in Europe.”

Moving forward in Gothenburg

“We are happy to welcome Jollyroom as our new customer and hope to assist them in their expansion in Europe. As a global company we are a one-stop-shop for supplying logistics space in all of Europe,” says Johan Nihlmark.

“With this lease our park is completed, and we are currently working on new plans in the Gothenburg region, to keep offering modern logistics space to the market. We anticipate solid demand for modern warehouse space in the Gothenburg region.”
