Prologis has expanded its logistic parks in Gothenburg and the Stockholm area. The acquisitions add four modern buildings to two parks: Prologis Gothenburg Park II in Torslanda, Gothenburg, and Prologis Park Arlanda, only 30 minutes from the center of Stockholm.
Prologis logistics parks normally feature multiple facilities, many of which can be split into separate units. They are situated in attractive logistics locations and access optimal transport connections. Most can operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The logistics park concept enables us to provide our customers with substantial flexibility when it comes to expanding their logistics capabilities. In turn, this nurtures the long-term relationships that are so important to us.
By expanding in Gothenburg and Stockholm, Prologis will be able to respond to high demand from national and international customers. These regions are part of the fastest-growing logistics markets in Sweden.
With the acquisition of two facilities, built in 2018, Prologis Gothenburg Park II will grow to more than 120,000 square meters of leasing space. Situated in Torslanda, by the Port of Gothenburg, it is an attractive logistics location in Sweden and the Nordics. Freight can access the largest port in Scandinavia and reach 70 percent of the Scandinavian population within 500 kilometers. The road Hisingsleden connects to three highways—the E6, E20 and E45—which facilitate easy access to Sweden, Scandinavia and Europe. In a few years, a new road into the port will further improve access and delivery times.
Adding two modern buildings to Prologis Park Arlanda will create a logistics park with more than 62,000 square meters of leasing space. The park is close to Stockholm Arlanda Airport and only 30 minutes from the city of Stockholm, the strongest consumption market in the country. With this location, Prologis Park Arlanda is a strategic choice for a long-term logistics investment. The area is an up-and-coming business district, and the E4 highway, railways and proximity to the airport are key factors in the success of the area.
