Prologis continues to expand in the Nordic region. The logistics real estate company announces a new land acquisition of 51,300 square meters in the logistics park in Rosersberg, Sweden. On the acquired land, Prologis will build a 20,000 square meter speculative facility. Rosersberg DC4 is expected to be ready for occupancy in December 2023.
The investment is the latest in a series of acquisitions and speculative developments carried out by Prologis in the Nordic market. As a leading supplier of logistics properties, Prologis owns 34 high-quality warehouses and distribution centers in the Nordic region. The planned property, Rosersberg DC4, will now further strengthen the company's presence in the Nordic region, as well as in the strategically important Stockholm region.
“This transaction provides the opportunity to acquire one of the last plots of land available in the Rosersberg park, which is the most established logistics prime park in Stockholm and in all of Sweden. This deal will not only increase our footprint in this high-quality multimodal park, but given the scarcity of land, will also put us in a strong position for tenant requests,” says Caroline Nirberg, market officer at Prologis Nordics.
New development with a focus on sustainability
As an example of the company’s high sustainability ambitions, all new Prologis Nordic developments are evaluated and accredited by BREEAM. Rosersberg DC4 will be built in accordance with BREEAM’s “Very Good” standard. In addition, and to offset the carbon dioxide emissions produced in the new development, Prologis will donate to the Cool Earth foundation, which protects endangered rain forests.
As the most established logistic hub in the region, Rosersberg is an important logistics location. With its proximity to the Arlanda Airport, the railway and E4 highway, Prologis Park Rosersberg offers tenants prime opportunities to reach the entire Nordic region.
