In an article with real estate website Lokalguiden, our Capital Deployment and Leasing Director Caroline Nirberg recently spoke about Prologis’ new acquisition in Rosersberg. The site will house a 20,000 square metre logistics facility that further strengthens Prologis’ position regarding tenant requests.
Prologis is constantly looking for new properties to invest in and recently had the opportunity to buy one of the last plots in the very attractive Rosersberg/Arlanda area. The acquisition not only increases our presence in the area, but given the current land shortage combined with a low vacancy rate, also gives us a strong position regarding tenant requests.
The plan is to start building in Q4 2022 and for tenants to move in Q4 2023. We are building in accordance with the BREEAM Excellent environmental certification system and carbon offsetting via the organization Cool Earth, which protects endangered rainforests.
Prologis is currently planning for a high level of flexibility, so depending on upcoming tenants, the property can both be built as separate units or a large one. It will also be located directly adjacent to a natural area that provides the opportunity to create several green spaces for those working in the building.
The project is being built on speculation, but several discussions are already taking place with potential tenants that Prologis is evaluating.
