Mitsubishi will move its logistics for residential, commercial and industrial air conditioning systems to Örebro, Sweden, from its previous location in Sollentuna, Stockholm. The search for a new logistics space took almost one year before finding the perfect match.

“This division of our company has been expanding during the last couple of years with more products in new segments, and more logistics space was needed. The choice of Örebro is mainly due to the structure and flexibility of the space being perfect for our needs and giving us better space in which to work more efficiently. Örebro’s great logistics location is another reason, as is Prologis’ professional approach to us as a customer,” says Anders Moström, logistics & environmental manager at Mitsubishi Electric Europe.

The building, DC1, was upgraded substantially during the last year and has now been adapted to meet Mitsubishi’s specific needs.

“With this deal, the building’s warehouse space of around 43,000 square meters is now fully leased. There are still 2,000 square meters available for lease, mostly office space, but also including kitchen and restaurant space for a caterer, and we anticipate solid demand,” says Johan Nihlmark, director and market officer at Prologis Nordics.
